About
A founder-led Sydney practice for land strategy, design coordination, approvals and licensed construction — established 2016.

Established in 2016, GY & CO has grown from a foundation in hands-on carpentry into a licensed Sydney building and project advisory company specialising in strategic home extensions, second-storey additions and whole-home transformations.
We start before the drawings. For established homes across the North Shore and Eastern Suburbs, the important first question is whether the land, structure, approval pathway and budget point to an extension, a second storey, a reconfiguration, a secondary dwelling, or a smarter no-build decision.
When a project should move forward, GY & CO can carry the thinking through design coordination, DA or CDC pathway planning and licensed construction. When the land does not support the idea, we say so early.
Founder Led

Gordon · Founder / Licensed Builder
Gordon brings the hands-on carpentry and licensed builder experience behind GY & CO. His role is to keep the strategy honest: what can be built, what it will take on site, and where design decisions create avoidable construction risk.

Yvonne · Founder / Strategy & Client Coordination
Yvonne leads the early site review and client pathway, translating planning constraints, family needs and budget pressure into a clear next step before design or construction commitments are made.
